Friends and family of the ROCK... We have so many things happening, and I'm here today to fill you in. We are growing, and learning, and helping, and making a difference in our community!
This weekend, on the Leap Day of the Leap Year - February 29, 2020, there is an amazing fundraiser being held at the Chatham Christian School for the ROCK. Come out! Check out some awesome vendors and spend a little money. Donations are being accepted at the door.
Shortly after that, we're having a ROCK party at the Sons of Kent, with the Moondog Howlers!

In business news, we are officially electing our first board. Here is the list of those up for election:
Executive Director - Al McGuigan (will be elected by acclamation)
Treasurer - Renee Geniole (will be elected by acclamation)
Secretary - Cynthia Thayer (will be elected by acclamation)
Trustee - (in alphabetical order - four positions will be filled)
On our next meeting (March 3, 2020, at the Chatham-Kent Nonprofit Building) we will hold our first official vote, and a new board will be formed. We are so grateful to have so many people willing to serve, and to see what the new year will bring in for us.
As we continue to grow, so do our needs. We are currently up to approximately 140 lunches being served, twice a week. We meet new friends each week. The number of disadvantaged folks trying to survive in our small community is staggering. Any and all support we can get from all of you is very much appreciated. We are working to try and build a support network and bridge gaps between our friends and the services offered to them, but this takes time and trust. If you can help us from either side, supporting us, or hooking us up with any organizations that want to partner up with us, please reach out.
At the end of each day, we are grateful. We have helped many. We have been helped by many. We have an amazing team of people who show up to make a difference. And we have a community who have welcomed us and work with us to make a difference for those who mostly feel forgotten. Many of us are blessed beyond measure, and to be able to share those blessings is what will make a difference for someone else. Thanks to you all (if we forget to say it from time to time) for helping us build the R.O.C.K.
